LOVE IT

I purchased the Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer after several hours of online research. Glad I did. Works great on everything I’ve thrown at it. Exceptionally good on leafy greens and other hard fruits and vegetables. Also good on soft fruits, but I find that I sometimes need to run the pulp of the softer fruits through again to get all the juice. Same for wheat grass. Cleanup is a piece of cake. I’ve done hands on comparison to Jack LaLanne and Champion, and the Omega 8006 beats both hands down in the area of yield and pulp in the juice. The J8006 absolutely destroys the previously mentioned products in the area of leafy greens. Obviously it’s not as fast due to it’s 80 rpm speed, but research seems to indicate that speed = heat which isn’t good for the quality of the juice. I didn’t buy it to be fast.

When I made the final decision and purchased this machine, I was concerned about the chipping that other reviewers have mentioned. I inspected the parts while unpacking, the idea being that I would take the Dremel tool to any rough areas as others have done. However, I didn’t notice anything of the sort. I put the unit together and ran it for 10 minutes, then inspected again. Not a mark, chip, or bit of plastic anywhere. After three weeks of fairly heavy use the auger does have some scuff marks, but nothing that would indicate to me that plastic is in my juice. It actually looks more like where plastic rubs on plastic. Perhaps Omega has corrected their manufacturing issue.

In summary, this is a very nice, low speed, masticating juicer. It’s quiet, a breeze to clean, and produces very dry pulp from all but the softest fruit. I’m very satisfied with the quality of the product, and look forward to many years of service. Should I have trouble, the 15 year warranty is a great thing to have as well.
